My Story
My Story
Welcome to Sentire-Sensory UK a small UK business built from lived experience, compassion, and a genuine passion for helping children and adults feel calmer, supported, and understood.
My name is Joanna, founder of Sentire-Sensory UK. Before starting this journey in 2019, I worked within the National Health Service for over 20 years as a Nurse, with my final 6 years specialising as a School Nurse. Throughout my career, I supported countless children and families facing challenges with anxiety, sensory processing, additional needs, emotional wellbeing, and neurodiversity.
But my inspiration for starting Sentire-Sensory UK became deeply personal.
As a parent to a child with Autism (ASD) and ADHD, I experienced first-hand how difficult it was to find quality sensory products that were both effective and affordable. Many products on the market were either too expensive, inaccessible, or simply didn’t meet the needs of families like ours. I knew there had to be a better way.
That’s when Sentire-Sensory UK was born.
I wanted to create a trusted space where families, schools, carers, and professionals could access sensory products designed with real understanding — products that support comfort, calm, regulation, focus, and emotional wellbeing without overwhelming costs.
Every product we stock is chosen with care and purpose, inspired by both professional experience and real family life. From weighted toys and sensory aids to calming tools and fidgets, our goal has always remained the same: to help make everyday life a little easier and more comforting for those who need it most.
What started as a small business has now grown into a brand trusted by thousands of customers and schools across the UK, and I’m incredibly proud that Sentire-Sensory UK continues to support so many families on their own journeys.
At Sentire-Sensory UK, we believe sensory support should feel empowering, inclusive, and accessible to everyone.
Thank you for supporting our small business and allowing us to be part of your story too.
